Terms & Conditions
Including our Refund Policy. Please read these before booking.
These terms and conditions apply to all appointments and treatment provided by Charlton Kings Physio. Charlton Kings Physio is a trading name of Charlton Kings Physio Ltd. By booking an appointment you confirm that you have read, understood and agree to these terms.
Consent to treatment
By attending an appointment you consent to physiotherapy assessment and treatment. Following your examination and assessment, your treatment plan will be explained to you.
To benefit fully from treatment, continuity is important. If your physiotherapist is unwell on the day of your appointment, you may be offered treatment with another, equally qualified physiotherapist, or a new appointment time.
Fees
Our current fees for self-paying patients are:

Fees may change from time to time. The fee that applies is the one shown on our website at the time you book.
Payment
Payment is due following each treatment, and you are responsible for paying for all treatment received and any cancellation fee incurred. We accept cash, debit and credit card.
The fee for the initial consultation is payable even if the practitioner is unable to help with your particular condition.
Interest of 2.5% will be charged on accounts more than one month overdue.
Cancellations and missed appointments
We ask for a minimum of 24 hours' notice to cancel or rearrange an appointment. Appointments cancelled with less than 24 hours' notice, or missed altogether, are charged at the full fee regardless of the reason (for example traffic, work commitments, forgetfulness, public transport delays or illness). Our policy is to send an invoice for any late cancellation or missed appointment.
Refund Policy
You are entitled to a full refund of any appointment you have paid for in advance if you cancel it at least 24 hours before the appointment time (the free cancellation period). Refunds are paid directly to you, back to the original payment method.
Refunds are not given for:
- appointments cancelled with less than 24 hours' notice;
- missed appointments, or arriving more than 20 minutes late (see below);
- treatment that has already taken place, including an initial consultation where the practitioner is unable to help with your condition.
If we need to cancel or rearrange your appointment, you will be offered a new appointment or a full refund. To request a refund, contact us at hello@charltonkingsphysio.co.uk or on 01242 906191.
Appointment times and late arrival
Please arrive on time for your appointment. Appointments are scheduled back to back, so even a 10-minute delay reduces your treatment time. If you arrive late you will be seen for the time remaining, as the next patient cannot be kept waiting. If you are more than 20 minutes late you cannot be seen, and the appointment will be charged as a late cancellation with the full fee payable.
The time spent on your treatment is at the practitioner's discretion and is based on your condition, so treatment may be longer or shorter than the appointment time.
Only one condition can be adequately dealt with in each appointment. If time allows another condition may be treated; otherwise you may need to book separately for different problems.
Your GP
Your GP will be informed of your progress unless you ask us not to.
Insurance patients
Insurance companies do not pay for missed appointments or late cancellation fees, so these remain your responsibility. You are responsible for keeping track of the sessions your insurer has authorised, and for paying any fees incurred outside them. Any excess and any amounts your insurer does not pay must be paid within 30 days of receiving our invoice.
